Day 3 - Today I’m grateful for…Time. I spoke with an elderly lady today wanting a few minutes of her time. She gracefully explained she wanted to pass on & was no longer in need of her time. These minutes with her were precious ones, ones which should had been shared with her loved ones but instead with me & changed my life.

Day 1 - I am grateful for… The thoughtful & kind nature my boyfriend has. Arriving home from work late tonight to find the house smelling beautiful & clean. Even the light bulb in my lamp was fixed.

Acland Street Cake Shops

Acland street in St Kilda is a wonderful street close to the beach filled with restaurants, bars, boutiques, supermarkets, banks and of course cafes and cake stores. Catching up with a friend, someone new or taking some time out on your own to enjoy a slice of heaven and a nice cappuccino.

These little cake shops bring a taste of history, inside each shop it’s very own story & outlay, the furniture should be in a Art Deco museum books lined the walls and photographs lines on shelves.

At Flinders Street Station you order a coffee and your get a complimentary one.
There is no better deal.
These donuts are like nothing tasted before.
The original flavour hits the spot in the morning or if your looking for a pick me up there’s milk, white or dark covered Churros. Sweet dipping sauces, Drizzled with Carmel or chocolate or hot jam Churros.

St Kilda Beach

St Kilda is a brilliant place, only a short distance from the city.
Often is redounded for drug addicts and prostitution within its streets though times are changing and St Kilda is enjoying a resurgence.
St Kilda is a long time favorite for its food; restaurants and bars lined throughout the suburb, Fitzroy Street & Acland Street is where its most at.
Luna park located on the esplanade, a wonderful pier off the beach and water-sports on a good sunny day.
St Kilda botanical gardens are beautiful with rose gardens, rich green grass and the smell of blossom in spring.

Federation Square

Fed Square is a place where there is always something on.
Its home of many cultural attractions, world class events, dinning, bars specialty stores, markets, art galleries and a cinema.

The Australian Center for Moving Image is located within Fed Square, it is quite the experience and its free. On a sunny day after work its a great idea to head to Fed Square soak up the sun on the steps or on a deck chair provided and see whats going on there.

Melbourne is most definitely a multicultural place.
Its easy to get caught up in situations which it feels like your not actually in Australia’s continent.
Going to China Town is an experience, a must.
Authentic Asian, Indian, Japanese, Korean, Malaysian and Thai Cuisine.
Its a mix of many Asian cultures not just Chinese.
With an Indian Restaurant named ‘Gaylord Indian Restaurant’ it does mix-up the place a bit.
China Town extends from Little Bourke Street to Swanston St and Spring St.
Your promised to find something shopping at stores such as ‘HAHA’ or the Liquor Delight Shop’. There are many karaoke bars and the most delicious dumplings in Melbourne.

Bicycles

Biking is well imbedded within the Melbourne culture.
In this city, its hip to ride a bicycle and its also convenient.
What is more convenient is having a basket to put your goods in, especially when your jetting across the city going faster than cars though a little less than the speed of trams.
The Melbourne city council has accepted and grown with the cycling culture, it has been seen to take the pressure off public transport and parking. The Melbourne city council has adapted a ‘hire a bike’ scheme within the city focusing on tourism.
Its a convenient and brilliant idea; hiring a bike off the street via credit card and no human contact required.

Some people take the old approach; using a shopping basket and attaching it to your bike. Cheap and easy.
